China is rapidly solidifying its position as a global leader in artificial intelligence (AI), according to Web Summit founder Paddy Cosgrave. Speaking at the 2025 Web Summit in Lisbon, Cosgrave highlighted the growing influence of Chinese tech giants in shaping the future of AI. 🚀
"AI is certainly the dominant theme here," Cosgrave told CGTN, noting the strong presence of Chinese AI companies at the event. "We’re seeing some of the world’s most advanced innovations—and they’re not coming from Europe or the U.S. this time."
In his opening speech, Cosgrave declared that the center of tech innovation has shifted eastward, with China leading the charge. Portuguese newspaper Publico reported his remarks, which emphasized China’s breakthroughs in humanoid robotics. 🤖
