PLA Navy Intensifies South China Sea Drills with Live-Fire Exercises 🌊⚓

The Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy has turned up the heat in the South China Sea this week with high-stakes military drills designed to test combat readiness. The exercises, conducted through round-the-clock operations, featured destroyers, aviation units, and rapid-response teams working in coordinated maneuvers.

⚡️ Night & Day Operations

Starting at dawn on November 17, the comprehensive replenishment ship Honghu faced simulated floating mines – a common threat in maritime conflicts – while executing evasive maneuvers and precision strikes. Meanwhile, the guided-missile frigate Hengyang showcased its firepower in live-weapon drills, backed by helicopter units practicing emergency takeoffs and landings.

Key drills included:

  • Multi-domain combat simulations (air, sea, and underwater)
  • Search-and-rescue coordination
  • Formation tactics under electronic warfare conditions

Analysts say these exercises reflect growing emphasis on 'all-weather' operational capabilities amid rising regional tensions.
