Mainland Expands Entry Ports for Taiwan Residents to 100 🌏✈️

Starting November 20, 2025, Taiwan residents can obtain single-entry travel permits at 100 mainland ports—up from the previous number—as part of efforts to streamline cross-strait travel. First-time visitors will enjoy free access to 3,000+ scenic spots and waived application fees! 🎉

🛂 Faster Permits, Smoother Travel

Taiwan residents can now apply for permits upon arrival using their valid ID and travel documents, with processing taking under 30 minutes. Those arriving via Fujian’s 'Mini Three Links' can even apply online and collect permits post-approval. Stays are valid for up to three months.

❄️ Winter Adventures Await

Zhu Fenglian, spokesperson for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, encouraged Taiwan compatriots to explore northeastern ice festivals and northwestern cultural sites this winter. 'We’re committed to improving services for our Taiwan friends,' she said during Wednesday’s press conference.

🎭 Cultural Roots Reaffirmed

At last week’s 11th Cross-Strait Cultural Forum in Beijing, Zhu emphasized shared heritage: 'We speak the same language, honor the same traditions, and are united by our culture.' The forum aligns with new plans to deepen cross-strait exchanges, as outlined at the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.

🔒 The mainland also confirmed it does not mark Taiwan travel documents and strictly protects personal data under legal guidelines.
