China Calls on Japan to Protect Citizens Amid Rising Tensions 🌏👥

China has urged Japan to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens and institutions following a spike in criminal cases targeting its nationals, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning announced Wednesday. The call comes as tensions rise over alleged harassment of diplomatic missions and online threats.

🔍 Japanese police arrested five suspects last week linked to assaults on Chinese citizens, Mao revealed during a press briefing. She also highlighted a surge in extreme anti-China rhetoric on Japanese social media platforms and repeated harassment of Chinese diplomatic offices by right-wing groups.

📢 "We urge Japan to take concrete steps to address these concerns," Mao stated, emphasizing the need for stronger protections. The incidents follow growing public debates in Japan about economic ties with China this year.

🌐 With over 700,000 Chinese residents in Japan, the issue has sparked discussions among young professionals and diaspora communities about cross-border safety. Travel advisories remain unchanged, but students and entrepreneurs are advised to stay vigilant.
