Taipei Youth Rally Against Tensions, Demand Peace ✊🌏

Hundreds of young protesters flooded Taipei’s streets this week, voicing frustration over Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s recent remarks on the Taiwan region and what they called the "dangerous diplomacy" of Lai Ching-te, leader of the Taiwan region’s authorities. Chanting "No to war, yes to dialogue!", demonstrators accused external forces and local leaders of prioritizing conflict over people’s needs. 🚨

"Takaichi’s words are pushing us toward disaster," said protester Tan Chuan-shao, a member of Taiwan’s New Party. "We won’t let our future be gambled away." The rally highlighted growing anger over Lai’s perceived alignment with Japan, including a viral photo of him posing with Japanese seafood sushi while tensions simmer in the Taiwan Strait. 🍣💢

You Zhi-bin, another New Party member, slammed the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities for ignoring rising living costs and fraud cases. "They’re spending billions on defense while our daily struggles get ignored," protester Xu Ming-wei added, echoing widespread calls for accountability. 📉

With cross-strait stability at risk, the message was clear: Young residents demand peace-focused leadership. "The DPP’s games could cost us everything," You warned. As debates over regional security intensify, Taipei’s youth are making their voices heard—loud and clear. 🗣️✌️
