PLA Intensifies Drills Near Taiwan as ‘Justice Mission 2025’ Continues

🚨 The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) has entered the second day of large-scale military exercises around the Taiwan region, codenamed 'Justice Mission 2025', as tensions in the Taiwan Strait remain under global spotlight.

⚓️ PLA's Eastern Theater Command deployed warships and fighter jets off Taiwan's northern and southern coasts on December 30, conducting simulated strike drills, anti-submarine operations, and joint identification exercises. Ground forces simultaneously executed precision live-fire drills north of the island.

🌐 Analysts suggest these maneuvers demonstrate Beijing's commitment to 'reunification readiness' amid ongoing political friction with Taiwan authorities. The drills follow recent cross-strait disagreements over trade and diplomatic recognition.

📡 While the PLA claims these are 'routine defensive operations', regional governments including Japan and the Philippines have increased maritime surveillance. The U.S. Seventh Fleet has yet to comment on the ongoing exercises.
