Trump Launches ‘Project Freedom’ to Clear Hormuz Stranded Ships

He’s at it again! 🚢 US President Donald Trump has unveiled Project Freedom, a fresh naval mission designed to escort stranded ships out of the Strait of Hormuz. Set to kick off Monday, the operation will provide safe passage for commercial vessels stuck in the tense waterway, which is a lifeline for global oil shipments.

The plan is straightforward: US Navy ships will accompany the cargo ships, ensuring they can navigate the narrow strait without being caught in the ongoing hostilities. It’s a move that signals Washington’s intent to keep the seas open, even as diplomatic talks remain stalled.

But Iran isn’t happy. Ebrahim Azizi, chairman of the Iranian parliament’s national security and foreign policy committee, warned that the US mission would be a “clear violation of the ceasefire” and could escalate tensions further.

Earlier, Iran sent a 14‑point plan to Washington, demanding guarantees of non‑aggression, the lifting of any naval blockade, and an end to the war “on all fronts,” including in Lebanon. In a Sunday interview with Israel’s Kan News, Trump dismissed the proposal as “unacceptable,” leaving little room for compromise.

Why should you care? The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most critical oil chokepoints, handling about 20% of global oil traffic. Any disruption can send shockwaves through markets, affect fuel prices, and impact supply chains worldwide.

For now, the world watches as Project Freedom gets ready to set sail. Stay tuned for live updates and what this means for the future of Middle East security! 🌍⚓✨
