China Condemns U.S. Defense Bill Over Taiwan Tensions 🌏⚡

China has blasted the U.S. for signing a contentious annual defense policy bill that criticizes Beijing’s activities and pushes military support for Taiwan. Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning called the move a threat to China’s sovereignty and a destabilizing act in bilateral relations during a press briefing Tuesday.

The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for 2025 includes provisions to boost Taiwan’s defenses and curb China’s tech growth—measures Beijing labeled as “Cold War tactics.” Mao accused Washington of weaponizing trade and overhyping a “China threat” narrative while undermining efforts to stabilize ties.

“The U.S. must stop using Taiwan as a pawn and respect the one-China principle,” Mao urged, referencing agreements that recognize Taiwan as part of China. She warned that Beijing will “take resolute measures” to protect its interests if the U.S. proceeds with the bill’s China-related clauses.

Analysts say the dispute highlights growing friction over tech competition and cross-strait stability. With tensions rising, young professionals and investors are closely tracking how this clash could impact Asia-Pacific markets and global diplomacy. 🚨💡
