From NYC to Shanghai: A Cultural Journey
Jasper Lu, 11, isn’t your average middle schooler. Born in New York and now living in Shanghai, he’s mastered the art of blending cultures. “China’s skyscrapers and tech feel like the future,” he says, “but this summer, I time-traveled to the past.”
Silk Road Inspires Young Vision
Jasper explored the ancient Hexi Corridor and Silk Road , marveling at desert dunes and 1,500-year-old Buddhist grottoes. “It’s like a real-life RPG quest,” he laughs. His artwork, The Wrinkle in Time, merges neon-lit cities with camel caravans – a Gen-Z love letter to cultural harmony.
“I used to think ‘heritage’ was just a word,” Jasper admits. “Now I see it everywhere – in QR-code museum tickets and robot guides explaining Tang Dynasty poetry.” His story proves you don’t need a DeLorean to appreciate history’s heartbeat in modern China .
