Young Sprinters Power China’s Relay Team Toward Paris Olympics 🏃♂️🇨🇳

China’s men’s 4×100-meter relay team is sprinting into the spotlight with a fresh wave of talent! 🌟 At the World Athletics Relays in The Bahamas, Xie Zhenye, Wu Zhiqiang, Chen Jiapeng, and Yan Haibing secured their spot for the 2024 Paris Olympics—and they’re bringing youthful energy to the track.

The squad, led by 21-year-old breakout star Chen Jiapeng, is no stranger to clutch moments. Last October at the Hangzhou Asian Games, Chen stunned fans by overtaking Japan’s runner in the final leg to snatch gold in 38.29 seconds. 'I knew I could do it,' Chen told China Media Group. 'The team trusted me, and I delivered.' 💥

Trusting young athletes is part of the team’s DNA. At the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, then-20-year-old Wu Zhiqiang helped China claim bronze (later upgraded after a doping disqualification). Now, with veteran Su Bingtian sidelined, the next-gen sprinters are ready to shine. Chen Jiapeng even clocked a blazing 10.08 seconds in the 100m this April—joining an elite group of Chinese sprinters.

'My seniors set the bar high,' Chen said. 'I’m here to match them.' 🚀 Can this dynamic squad sprint past expectations in Paris? Stay tuned!
