🌉 Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hits Record Traffic After 6 Years!

Six years after its grand opening, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) is smashing records like a viral TikTok trend! 🚗💨 According to new data, over 62.3 million passengers and 12.76 million vehicles have crossed via Zhuhai Port as of October 22, cementing its status as a megahit in regional connectivity.

Stretching 55km across the sea — making it the world’s longest bridge-and-tunnel crossing — the HZMB has turbocharged travel between Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, and Zhuhai. 🌊 24/7 customs clearance and policies like ‘Macao/Hong Kong vehicles northward’ (rolled out in 2023) have made road trips a go-to for residents, with 3.6 million licensed vehicles crossing by September this year.

But it’s not just about cars! The bridge is also a global travel gateway:

  • 🇨🇳 234,800+ tourists in domestic tour groups
  • ✈️ 37,000 passengers using the ‘via Zhuhai to Hong Kong flight’ model
  • 🛂 Foreign travelers surged by 169% YoY

‘The bridge has transformed how we connect,’ said HZMB border inspection head Chen Faqiu. 💬 Cargo isn’t left behind either — imports/exports via the bridge hit ¥942.7 billion ($132.5B) since 2018, with 2024’s numbers already up 10.4%.

From daily commuters to globetrotters, the HZMB proves infrastructure can be both epic and practical. 🌏✨
