China: US Weapons Won’t Shield Taiwan’s DPP Authorities, Warns Defense Ministry

In a recent press conference, Chinese Defense Ministry spokesperson Zhang Xiaogang stated that the latest U.S. weaponry supplied to Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities \"won't be the magic straw\" capable of preventing Taiwan from facing challenges. 🎯

Zhang responded to reports about the arrival of the first batch of M1A2T battle tanks purchased by Taiwan from the U.S., emphasizing that seeking independence by soliciting U.S. support is destined to fail. He highlighted that resorting to force to resist reunification efforts leads nowhere meaningful. 🚫

The spokesperson urged the United States to adhere to the one-China principle and the three China-U.S. joint communiqués. He called on the U.S. to honor its commitment of not supporting \"Taiwan independence,\" to immediately cease arming Taiwan, and to stop actions that could endanger peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait. 🕊️

Zhang concluded by asserting that the People's Liberation Army (PLA) will comprehensively enhance its combat readiness and capability to fight and win, firmly dismantling any \"Taiwan independence\" separatist plots and preventing foreign interference. 💪
