China is gearing up to enhance global exchange and cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), according to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun. Speaking at a news briefing on Monday, Guo addressed the recent buzz surrounding Chinese AI company DeepSeek.
Embracing the AI transformation, China is diligently working to advance its AI capabilities. \"We take the safety and security of AI seriously, and support entrepreneurial innovation by Chinese companies, thus contributing China's part to global AI development,\" Guo emphasized.
China remains opposed to drawing lines based on ideological differences, overextending the concept of national security, or politicizing trade and technology issues. \"We are committed to governing AI for good and for all, creating an open and inclusive environment for the development of AI, and together seeking deep in this field of vast possibilities,\" Guo added.
