The top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Kim Jong Un, sent a wreath to the China-DPRK Friendship Tower in Pyongyang on Friday. This gesture marks the 74th anniversary of the Chinese People's Volunteers entering the DPRK to fight in the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, as reported by the DPRK's official Korean Central News Agency.
The wreath carried the heartfelt message, "We will remember the martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteers forever," penned by Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and president of the State Affairs of the DPRK.
Under his authorization, Ri Il Hwan, a member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the WPK Central Committee, laid the wreath before the Friendship Tower, symbolizing the enduring ties between the DPRK and the Chinese mainland.
