In a heartfelt statement, families and clan leaders firmly rejected any plans aimed at displacing Palestinians from their homeland. \"Palestine is our rightful homeland, and we will not allow anyone to undermine that,\" the statement declared.
The protesters emphasized the importance of unity, urging Palestinians to remain steadfast in defending their land and preserving their right of return and independence. \"We will not accept any threat to our Palestinian identity or any distortion of our history, which has been shaped by generations of struggle and resilience against the occupation,\" the statement added.
Hamas also weighed in, dismissing the U.S. relocation proposal as \"absurd and worthless.\" Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri criticized the U.S., stating that the proposal reflects a persistent complicity in the region's turmoil and warned it would only \"fuel further chaos and tension.\"
In solidarity, foreign ministers and representatives from six Arab countries, along with the Arab League, convened in Cairo. They called for a comprehensive reconstruction plan for Gaza to ensure Palestinians remain on their land. Key attendees included the foreign ministers of Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, as well as PLO Secretary-General Hussein Al-Sheikh and Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul-Gheit.
