On Monday evening at 11:59 p.m., a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 struck Jishishan County in Gansu Province, located in the northwestern Chinese mainland. The disaster has sadly claimed the lives of over 100 people. 🕊️

The earthquake caused significant damage to residential buildings and disrupted essential services such as water, electricity, and roads in and around the epicenter. 🏚️⚡🚧

In response to the tragedy, a total of 1,440 firefighters and other rescue personnel from the national comprehensive fire rescue team rushed to the disaster area to aid those affected. 🚒👩‍🚒
