🌊💡 China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) recently hosted an exciting online open day at the Chaglla hydroelectric power plant in Peru. Located over the scenic Huallaga River in the Huanuco region, about 415 kilometers from Lima, Chaglla is Peru's third-biggest hydropower project with a whopping installed capacity of 456,000 kilowatts.
Since ramping up in September 2016, the Chaglla plant has been a powerhouse (literally!) for Peru, generating over 2.51 billion kWh of clean energy each year. This sustainable energy not only lights up homes and businesses but also drives economic and social development across the country. 🌍⚡️✨
