🌱 China & Africa Cultivate New Growth with Hybrid Rice Success Stories

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is sowing seeds for a brighter future in China-Africa relations, urging more collaborative success stories like that of Gambian farmer Musa Darboe. At a forum celebrating 25 years of China-Africa cooperation, Wang highlighted how hybrid rice tech is transforming lives – one grain at a time 🌾.

Darboe, who traveled from Gambia with homegrown rice as tribute to late Chinese scientist Yuan Longping, shared how yields skyrocketed from 3 to 10 tons per hectare using “father of hybrid rice” Yuan’s methods. “My community no longer fears hunger,” he told attendees in Hunan province – Yuan’s hometown and China’s agricultural innovation hub.

Wang emphasized that China’s partnership with Africa focuses on practical results: “Improving livelihoods isn’t just policy – it’s about farmers like Musa seeing real harvests.” With over 200 agricultural projects launched across Africa since 2000, China aims to keep sharing tech that helps communities thrive 🚜.

As night fell on the Changsha event, one message rang clear: When science meets solidarity, everyone reaps the benefits. From Hunan’s labs to Gambia’s fields, cooperation is the ultimate growth hack 💡.
