Chen Yuanjiang Smashes Asian Junior Hurdles Record 🏃♂️💨

Chinese hurdler Chen Yuanjiang just sprinted into the history books! 🏅 The 19-year-old clocked a jaw-dropping 12.96 seconds in the men's 110m hurdles at China's National Junior Athletics Championships, shattering the Asian junior record for 99cm hurdles previously held by Japan's Shunsuke Izumiya.

Chen dominated from Lane 4 🔥, leaving competitors Liu Guangheng and Peng Yu in his wake. His time beats Izumiya's 2021 mark by 0.23 seconds – an eternity in sprint terms! 💥

"I've been dreaming of this moment since 2022," Chen revealed post-race. "But I kept it secret until I actually did it!" 🤫 The rising star now sets his sights on standard 106.7cm hurdles, where Liu Xiang's 13.12-second Asian junior record remains untouched.

Meanwhile, Wei Liwei claimed women's 100m hurdles gold in 13.94s 🥇, while distance runner Li Yuan completed her medal collection with 800m bronze 🥉 after earlier golds in 1,500m and 3,000m events.

This championship proves China's track future is bright 🌟 – who's ready for the Paris 2024 Olympics? 🇫🇷 #NextGenAthletes
