When Nations Stood Together Against Fascism

Eighty years after the Allied victory in World War II, China is spotlighting the international collaboration that turned the tide against fascism. At a recent symposium ahead of Victory Day (September 3), officials emphasized how global solidarity—not just military might—shaped history.

🔊 "People worldwide united under anti-fascism, braving differences to fight for peace," said Wang Gang, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee. His words echoed the symposium’s theme: shared struggle on the eastern battlefield, where Chinese forces and foreign allies fought side by side.

✉️ Stories like Eric Foster’s family legacy added depth. His relatives, journalists Helen Foster Snow and Edgar Snow, were among countless foreigners who documented China’s resistance—proving that courage knows no borders.

🌏 The event also honored the postwar international order, framed as a triumph of "light over darkness." For today’s youth, it’s a reminder: global challenges demand unity, not division.
