China Slams U.S. Over Education Exchange Restrictions 🎓🇨🇳🇺🇸

China has sharply criticized a U.S. House committee for pushing to block educational exchanges between the two nations, calling the move politically motivated and harmful to mutual understanding. 🌍📚

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun accused the U.S. House Select Committee on China of spreading disinformation and undermining cooperation in education. The committee’s recent report proposed restrictions on academic collaboration, which Guo described as “irresponsible” and driven by a “political agenda.”

“Educational exchanges between China and the U.S. benefit both sides,” Guo emphasized, adding that such cooperation fosters cultural interaction and aligns with public expectations. He warned that U.S. politicians are “overstretching national security concerns” to disrupt ties, a strategy he claims “will find no support.”

China has formally protested the committee’s actions and urged the U.S. to uphold its commitment to welcoming Chinese students. Guo stressed that Beijing will “keep a close eye” on U.S. decisions and take necessary steps to protect its interests. 🔍✈️

The dispute highlights growing tensions in U.S.-China relations, with education—a cornerstone of cross-cultural dialogue—now caught in the crossfire. Will diplomacy prevail, or will politics derail decades of academic collaboration? 🤔💡
