China Shines at WTO’s Abu Dhabi Summit, Boosting Multilateral Trade 🌐✨

The 13th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO) wrapped up this Saturday in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao led a dynamic delegation, actively promoting collaboration and cooperation throughout the event.

China's proactive stance in negotiations on investment facilitation, fisheries subsidies, and more earned accolades from attendees, including WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and the host UAE officials. 🌟

WTO Director-General Iweala praised China for its constructive participation and unwavering support for the multilateral trading system. UAE's Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, highlighted China's positive contributions as key to the conference's success.

During the closing ceremony, WTO members adopted the Abu Dhabi Ministerial Declaration, emphasizing the strengthening of the multilateral trading system and ongoing WTO reforms. The declaration also highlighted the importance of development in WTO initiatives and supported the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. 🌍📈

Additionally, the conference outcomes include a two-year extension of the temporary tariff exemption on e-commerce data transmissions, extending it to the next Ministerial Conference.
