China Sees Massive Surge in Inbound Tourism This Labor Day 🌏✈️

China is welcoming a wave of travelers this Labor Day as inbound tourism heats up significantly. Thanks to several supportive measures, foreign visitors are enjoying a smoother experience with better payment options and easier entry procedures.

According to Trip.com, inbound travel orders during the week-long holiday period skyrocketed by 130% compared to last year. The majority of these visitors hail from Malaysia, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Russia, and France.

The megacities of Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Tianjin, and Chongqing are topping the list as the most popular destinations for tourists this season.

Earlier this year, Beijing took significant steps to enhance the payment environment for overseas visitors. The capital now offers full coverage of international arrival and departure foreign currency exchange services at its two major airports, supporting more than 40 convertible currencies.

To further boost inbound tourism, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has established foreign currency exchange service points around national-level tourism sites and is actively promoting English-language services. 🌟

Additionally, data from China's National Immigration Administration reveals that 1.99 million foreigners entered the country without visas in the first quarter of 2024, marking a 266.1% year-on-year increase thanks to the new visa-free policy.

With these initiatives, China is making it easier than ever for travelers to explore its vibrant cities and rich cultural heritage. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or planning your first visit, now is the perfect time to experience all that China has to offer! 🎉🧳
