Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao and his U.S. counterpart Gina Raimondo are set to have a phone conversation in the coming days, according to sources.
The leaders will engage in an in-depth exchange of views on bilateral economic and trade relations, focusing on key issues of mutual concern, including U.S. restrictions on electric vehicles (EVs).
This upcoming call is part of the ongoing institutional dialogue between the commerce ministries of the two nations.
Wang and Raimondo last spoke over phone in January, where they had a substantive and pragmatic discussion about each other's economic and trade concerns, as well as national security boundaries related to their economic and trade sectors.
