New Marina in Colombo’s Port City Sparks Sri Lanka’s Tourism and Investment Boom 🌊💼

Exciting developments are underway in Sri Lanka as the construction of a new marina in Port City Colombo aims to transform the island nation into a regional hotspot for tourism and investment, according to Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath.

During a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, Herath highlighted the significance of the port city as a pivotal platform for attracting foreign investment and elevating Sri Lanka's international profile. 🌍✨ The state-of-the-art marina is set to bridge the gap in high-end maritime services across South Asia, promising to draw in more high-net-worth tourists and boost the local economy.

Herath emphasized that the port city's development will foster greater cultural and economic cooperation between Sri Lanka and China, aligning with the country's ambitious tourism revenue goals. This collaboration is expected to open new avenues for growth and strengthen bilateral ties.

Harsha Amarasekera, chairman of the Colombo Port City Economic Commission, echoed these sentiments, stating that the port city will continue to inject fresh momentum into Sri Lanka's economy. 💪🏽 The new project is anticipated to create numerous employment opportunities and attract international high-end brands, further accelerating Sri Lanka's economic recovery.

The marina commercial project spans approximately 20,400 square meters with a construction area of about 49,000 square meters. This expansive development is set to become a cornerstone of Sri Lanka's economic landscape, offering world-class facilities and services to both tourists and investors alike.
