This year celebrates the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Chile, alongside the 20th anniversary of their Free Trade Agreement (FTA). Recently, CGTN's Wang Tianyu sat down with Chile's Ambassador to China, Mauricio Hurtado, to dive into how the FTA has significantly lifted Chile’s agricultural exports, especially cherries.
Ambassador Hurtado highlighted that cherries have become a flagship product in the China-Chile trade relationship, opening up new markets and boosting the economy on both sides. With the strong foundation of the FTA, both nations are exploring future collaboration opportunities to expand their trade portfolio even further.
