🚀 Rural Xizang’s Income Soars, Closes Gap with National Average 🌄

Rural residents in Xizang Autonomous Region are witnessing a historic economic leap, with per capita disposable income surging to 21,578 yuan ($3,010) in 2024—93.3% of China’s national average. This 8.3% annual growth outpaces the country’s average by 1.7 percentage points, defying the region’s high-altitude challenges 🌱.

High-Altitude Hustle Pays Off

Li Jianshu, a senior official with the National Bureau of Statistics, highlighted that urban residents in Xizang also saw incomes rise by 6.8% to 55,444 yuan—outperforming national urban growth. Overall, Xizang’s per capita income growth (8.2%) now leads all provincial-level regions in China 🏆.

From Poverty to Prosperity

Once plagued by extreme poverty due to harsh terrain and poor infrastructure, Xizang has transformed. By 2019, it eradicated absolute poverty, lifting 628,000 people into stability. Today, tourism, better roads, and diversified industries are fueling its economic engine 🚂.

\"This isn’t just about numbers—it’s about improved lives,\" said Li, pointing to upgraded healthcare, education, and tech access for residents. With more travelers flocking to its Himalayan vistas and cultural gems, Xizang’s future looks brighter than ever ✨.
