The Spring Festival is always a bustling time in China, but this year, the excitement has reached new heights! According to China Media Group (CMG), many ports across the Chinese mainland are experiencing a surge in both inbound and outbound passenger flows during the 2025 Spring Festival holiday.
One standout hotspot is the Shenzhen-Zhongshan cross-sea passage, which has handled a whopping 333,900 vehicles since the holiday began. On peak days, traffic volumes soared to 95,400 vehicles daily!
Border inspection agencies in Shenzhen are also seeing unprecedented activity, with over 2.1 million cross-border trips processed in the first four days of the festival—a 9.4% increase compared to last year.
Meanwhile, in the scenic Hekou County of Yunnan Province, which borders Vietnam, the number of cross-border passengers has hit a peak. Many Vietnamese tourists are flocking through Hekou, adding to the vibrant cultural exchange during the festivities.
As the Spring Festival continues, the Chinese mainland remains a hive of activity, bridging cultures and bringing people together in celebration. Whether you're traveling for business, leisure, or to visit family, this season is truly a time of connection and joy!
