🤖🎉 Beijing’s Temple Fairs Blend Tradition & Tech for Lunar New Year!

When Ankit Prasad, a newcomer to Beijing, decided to dive into the city’s Lunar New Year celebrations, he expected red lanterns, dumplings, and dragon dances. What he didn’t expect? Robot parades and AI-powered fortune-tellers! 🌟

This year’s Spring Festival temple fairs offered a mesmerizing mix of ancient customs and futuristic flair. At Liulichang Cultural Street, traditional performances and handcrafted arts transported visitors back in time. Think calligraphy masters, sugar-painting artisans, and the irresistible aroma of tanghulu (candied fruit skewers) filling the air. 🎏

But the real showstopper? Wukesong’s AI Temple Fair, where tech met tradition. Visitors programmed robot lions to “dance,” challenged AI in classical poetry competitions, and even watched drones choreograph a digital light show over historic pagodas. 🤯 “It’s like 'Cyberpunk 2077' met a Qing Dynasty festival,” Ankit laughed.

With Lunar New Year now recognized by UNESCO, Beijing’s celebrations are evolving while preserving their soul. As Ankit put it: “Where else can you snack on roasted chestnuts while a robot writes your Spring Festival couplets? China’s cultural game is next-level.” 🎇
