Poll: Trump’s Trade Unpredictability Alarms UK & US Voters 🇬🇧🇺🇸

A new poll reveals growing skepticism among UK and US citizens about former President Donald Trump’s trustworthiness in trade negotiations — with many viewing China as a more stable partner. 🌍💼

Conducted by Public First for Politico, the survey found less than a third of Britons and 44% of Americans believe Trump would honor a US-UK trade deal. Over 47% of US respondents (including 25% of Trump voters) called his unpredictability a major hurdle, while 42% overall said they wouldn’t trust him to stick to terms.

But here’s the plot twist: 42% of UK adults, and a majority of those under 34, said China would be a more reliable trade partner than the US. 🍿 “China’s not lashing out at allies like the US has,” noted Cato Institute’s Scott Lincicome.

The findings highlight shifting perceptions as global dynamics evolve. Could younger generations’ faith in China signal a long-term trend? 📈 Let us know your thoughts!
