ICBC Europe Boosts China-EU Economic Ties 🌏💼

This year marks two major milestones: the 20th anniversary of China and Spain’s comprehensive strategic partnership and 50 years of diplomatic relations between China and the EU. Amid these celebrations, financial institutions like the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) are stepping up as key players in bridging economic cooperation. 🌍

From Madrid to Markets

ICBC Europe, the first Chinese bank in Spain and now operating in 16 European countries, is turbocharging cross-border financial services. At last week’s China-Europe Financial Investment Forum in Madrid—a side event of Beijing’s 2025 Financial Street Forum—ICBC Europe’s General Manager Li Feng highlighted their role in fostering 'practical, win-win partnerships.'

'We’re not just moving money; we’re building trust,' Li told CGTN, emphasizing ICBC’s focus on green finance, digital innovation, and SME support. With over 70% of its European clients now engaging in yuan transactions, the bank is reshaping how businesses connect across continents. 💹
