During their 2023 China tour, the trio noticed something quirky: hotel Wi-Fi passwords often consisted of eight consecutive '8s.' Intrigued, they learned the number 8 symbolizes prosperity and good fortune in Chinese tradition. 🍀 'It felt like a sign,' said bandleader Rémi Panossian. 'We knew instantly this would be our album title – a musical lucky charm!'
The album merges jazz improvisation with subtle nods to Chinese melodies, creating what fans are calling a 'cross-cultural jam session.' 🎶 While the band hasn't disclosed whether the password actually worked, they're optimistic: 'If our streams hit 888,888 plays, we'll know the magic is real!'
