China Braces for Typhoon Kong-rey with High-Level Emergency Response 🌪️

East China's Fujian Province is gearing up to face Typhoon Kong-rey, the 21st typhoon this year, by issuing a second-highest-level emergency response on Thursday. 🚨

In preparation for the storm's arrival, railway and maritime authorities have taken proactive measures. Several train services have been suspended, and 71 coastal passenger ferry routes have been halted, affecting a total of 190 vessels. Additionally, 115 coastal construction projects are on pause until further notice to ensure safety.

Specialized rescue forces, including rescue ships, helicopters, and patrol boats, are on standby, ready to respond to any potential emergencies that may arise from the typhoon’s impact. 🛥️🚁🚨

According to the National Meteorological Center, Typhoon Kong-rey could make landfall along the coasts of Fujian or Zhejiang provinces, following a northeastward path. An orange alert has been issued, indicating that the storm is expected to bring torrential rains to eastern areas such as Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu provinces, and Shanghai from Thursday afternoon to Friday afternoon. 🌧️

China operates on a four-tier emergency response system, with Level I being the most severe. Additionally, the weather warning system uses a color code, where red signifies the most severe conditions, followed by orange, yellow, and blue.

Stay safe and stay informed! 💨🌧️✨
