China Criticizes G7 Over Sovereignty and Internal Affairs Interference

China's Foreign Ministry has voiced strong opposition to the Group of Seven (G7) foreign ministers' recent remarks, emphasizing the importance of respecting China's sovereignty and internal affairs. 🇨🇳✊

Mao Ning, spokesperson for the Ministry, criticized the G7 for what she described as interference in China's domestic matters and damaging rhetoric concerning its sovereignty.

While the G7 issued a joint statement calling for a constructive and stable relationship with China, they also demanded that China cease supporting Russia's defense industry. Additionally, the G7 criticized China's so-called overcapacity and made statements on sensitive issues including the South China Sea, Taiwan region, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Mao emphasized that China has consistently maintained a firm and objective stance on these issues. She reiterated the importance of mutual respect and equality in international relations, stating, \"If the G7 seeks a constructive and stable relationship with China, it should take concrete actions to practice what it preaches and avoid attacks on China.\"

Regarding the Ukraine crisis, Mao highlighted that China has always advocated for peace talks and has never provided weapons to any parties involved in the conflict. She stressed that no third party should interfere with China's normal trade with Russia.

Addressing the G7's claims of China's \"overcapacity,\" Mao called the assertions false and urged the G7 to adopt a fair approach to competition. She also affirmed that China's positions on the South China Sea, Taiwan region, Xinjiang, Xizang, and Hong Kong remain consistent.

In her conclusion, Mao expressed strong opposition to the G7's actions affecting China's sovereignty and internal affairs. She urged G7 countries to adhere to the principles of the UN Charter and to manage their own affairs. Mao called for the G7 to abandon narrow geopolitical games and focus on contributing to international unity and cooperation, stating, \"China, as a responsible major country, is committed to fairness, inclusivity, and benefiting the world through its development.\" 🌍💬✨
