China Slams US Blacklisting of 29 Firms Over Xinjiang Allegations 🇨🇳⚖️

China strongly condemned the United States on Tuesday for blacklisting 29 Chinese companies under the \"Uygur Forced Labor Prevention Act.\" The Chinese mainland views this move as an act of bullying disguised as human rights protection and economic coercion.

A spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce stated that the US sanctions lack factual basis and accused the US of political manipulation. \"We urge the U.S. side to immediately stop political manipulation, smearing and attacking, and stop its unreasonable suppression of Chinese companies,\" the spokesperson said.

China firmly denies the existence of forced labor in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The spokesperson emphasized that the US sanctions, based solely on Chinese companies' procurement of materials or hiring from Xinjiang, infringe upon basic human rights and disrupt the global supply chain.

The \"Uygur Forced Labor Prevention Act,\" effective since June 2022, aims to prevent Xinjiang goods from entering the US market by targeting forced labor practices.
