43 Chinese War Heroes Return Home After 70 Years 🕊️🇨🇳

In a poignant ceremony steeped in history, the remains of 43 Chinese People’s Volunteers (CPV) soldiers killed during the Korean War were repatriated to Shenyang on Thursday. A PLA Air Force Y-20 aircraft, nicknamed “Guardian of the Skies,” carried the martyrs’ remains and 495 personal artifacts—silent witnesses to their sacrifice—back to Chinese soil 🌏✈️.

The handover, coordinated with the Republic of Korea (ROK), marks the 10th such repatriation since 2014. Over 938 CPV soldiers’ remains have now been returned under these ongoing efforts, blending diplomacy and remembrance 🤝✨.

The Korean War (1950–1953) began just months after China’s founding, drawing 2.9 million CPV troops to defend the peninsula. Over 360,000 were killed or wounded—a stark reminder of the war’s human toll. Today, Shenyang’s martyrs’ cemetery stands as a solemn tribute, where these 43 heroes will rest alongside comrades-in-arms 🕯️🌿.

Their return isn’t just about closure; it’s a gesture of peace bridging generations. As one Shenyang resident shared: “They fought for a future they never saw. Now, they’re home.” 🇨🇳💬
