🇨🇳🕊️ In a touching ceremony today, China welcomed back the remains of 43 Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) martyrs from the Republic of Korea (ROK). These brave individuals gave their lives during the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, and their return symbolizes China's enduring respect and remembrance.
The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force Y-20 transport aircraft carried not only the remains but also 495 significant artifacts, ensuring the preservation of their legacy. The aircraft landed in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, marking a heartfelt homecoming for these heroes.
This event marks the 11th repatriation of CPV martyrs' remains since China and ROK signed a handover agreement in 2014. Nearly 200,000 CPV soldiers were confirmed killed during the war, with most remains interred on the Korean Peninsula. Each repatriation serves as a poignant reminder of the historical ties and sacrifices made.
