Over 1,000 leading scientists, educators, and innovators descended on Tengchong City this week for the 2024 Tengchong Scientists Forum in southwest China's Yunnan Province. Dubbed a 'science Coachella' for its star-studded lineup of 120 academicians and 59 university deans, the event is tackling everything from AI to biodiversity 🧬💡.
This year's theme, 'Science – Global Innovation, and the Mission of Scientists', drives discussions on cutting-edge topics like modern agriculture and tech-finance integration. New tracks on life sciences and cross-border IP cooperation are turning heads, especially among young researchers looking to scale their projects 🌱🚀.
‘Innovation isn’t just about discovery—it’s about connection,’ said Tsinghua University’s Prof. Xue Qikun, one of two recipients of the prestigious Tengchong Science Award 2024. The forum also launched new funds to boost tech commercialization and traditional Chinese medicine development in Yunnan 💼🌿.
