China Says Taiwan’s DPP Independence Move Set to Fail 🇹🇼🚫

A spokesperson for the Chinese mainland's foreign ministry stated Thursday that the one-China principle remains a fundamental norm in international relations. According to spokesperson Mao Ning, Taiwan authorities' attempts to achieve \"Taiwan independence\" through foreign support and secession efforts are bound to fail.

Mao Ning made these remarks during a regular press briefing, addressing reports that Taiwan's deputy foreign minister, Wu Chih-Chung, attended the inauguration of Somaliland's \"president\" as a \"special envoy\" for Lai Ching-te.

\"I would like to reiterate that there is only one China in the world and Taiwan is an inalienable part of China,\" Mao emphasized.

She also commended the government of Somalia for upholding the one-China principle and affirmed the Chinese mainland's support for Somalia in safeguarding its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The Chinese mainland firmly opposes the mutual establishment of official institutions or any form of official exchanges between Taiwan authorities and Somaliland, Mao added.

\"We urge relevant parties in Somalia to see the trend of history sooner rather than later, and strictly uphold the one-China position,\" Mao concluded.
