A spokesperson for the China Coast Guard (CCG) shared updates on Tuesday about their recent activities in the South China Sea.
According to Liu Dejun, the Philippines sent a civilian vessel on Thursday to deliver supplies to its military ship that had been illegally grounded on Ren'ai Jiao. With China's permission, the CCG kept a close eye on the Philippine vessel, inquiring and verifying its activities throughout the mission.
Liu expressed hope that the Philippines would honor its commitments and collaborate with China to manage the maritime situation together.
The CCG reaffirmed its commitment to continuing law enforcement efforts to safeguard rights in the Nansha Qundao area and surrounding waters, including Ren'ai Jiao.
