The 2024 Beijing Forum on Swift Response to Public Complaints officially opened in Beijing on Wednesday. Co-hosted by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China Media Group (CMG), the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, and the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, the forum aims to enhance the efficiency of addressing public concerns.
Yin Li, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, delivered an inspiring speech at the opening ceremony, emphasizing the importance of responsive governance.
Prominent attendees included Wu Hansheng, minister of the Society Work Department of the CPC Central Committee; Gao Xiang, president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Yin Yong, deputy secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and mayor of Beijing; Li Xiuling, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal People’s Congress; and Wei Xiaodong, chairman of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPPCC.
The forum featured speeches from international guests such as Fan Yun, deputy editor-in-chief of CMG; Xu Haoliang, under-secretary-general of the United Nations; Omar AL-Razzaz, former prime minister of Jordan; and Andreas Grammatikogiannis, deputy mayor of Athens. Their insights are expected to foster global collaboration in public service improvement.
