Exciting news for the Greater Bay Area! 🌟 Zhuhai, a vibrant city in Guangdong Province bordering the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), is gearing up to enhance cross-border emergency medical services. The city is set to deploy four ambulances equipped with dual Guangdong-Macao license plates, streamlining the transfer of critically ill patients between Zhuhai and Macao.
These ambulances are on the brink of final approval, signaling a significant step forward in emergency healthcare collaboration. According to the pre-hospital emergency care branch of Zhuhai's medical association, this move will make transferring patients between the two regions faster and more efficient.
But that's not all! Zhuhai is deepening its integration within the Greater Bay Area by fostering knowledge exchange and training. This year, the city has sent 12 emergency response team members to Hong Kong for specialized training programs. In return, 33 emergency medical personnel from Hong Kong have visited Zhuhai in three separate batches for exchange and training sessions.
Additionally, Zhuhai has been at the forefront of organizing joint drills and participating in emergency exercises and academic exchanges across the Greater Bay Area. These initiatives are broadening and strengthening cooperation in emergency medical rescue services.
Yang Lijuan, director of Zhuhai's emergency medical rescue center, highlighted that introducing dual-license ambulances and enhancing academic exchanges represent new milestones in promoting emergency medical rescue cooperation between Zhuhai, Hong Kong, and the Macao SAR.
With Macao approaching the 25th anniversary of its return to China, these developments underscore the commitment to building a resilient and interconnected emergency response network in the region. 🚑🌐
