The HKSAR government has recently taken decisive action against seven individuals accused of endangering national security under the Safeguarding National Security Ordinance. Secretary for Security Chris Tang Ping-keung announced the measures on Tuesday, specifying the absconders through official notices published in the gazette.

The seven individuals—Hui Chi-fung, Kwok Fung-yee, Yuan Gong-yi, Kwok Wing-hang, Yam Kevin, Hui Wing-ting, and Siu Joey—are now subject to strict restrictions. These include \"prohibition against making available funds, etc. or dealing with funds, etc.\", \"prohibition against certain activities in connection with immovable property\", \"prohibition in connection with joint ventures or partnerships with relevant absconders\", and the \"cancellation of HKSAR passports, etc.\", as stated by the HKSAR government.

Additionally, Kwok Wing-hang and Yam Kevin face a \"suspension of qualification to practice\", while Yuan Gong-yi has been subjected to the \"temporary removal from office of director.\" Tang emphasized that these measures are essential to prevent further actions that threaten national security and to encourage the absconders to return to face legal proceedings.

In a related development, the Hong Kong Police Force has added six more individuals—Chung Kim-wah, Lau Ka-man, Chung Hon-lam, Ho Leung-mau Victor, Joseph Tay, and Cheung Hei-ching Chloe—to the wanted list, offering a bounty of HK$1 million (approx. $128,758) for information leading to their capture.

The Office for Safeguarding National Security of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR has expressed strong support for these enforcement actions, stating that the absconders' actions have severely harmed Hong Kong's rule of law and national sovereignty.
