Winter Wonderland for Big Cats
Over 100 Siberian tigers in Shenyang's Guaipo Siberian Tiger Park are living their best winter lives ❄️! As temperatures dropped, the majestic cats were seen frolicking in fresh snow, playfully huddling near trees, and exploring frosty forests – all while sporting their iconic thick winter coats. Talk about #ColdWeatherChamps! 🏆
Cozy Upgrades by Caretakers
Zookeepers have gone full #WinterMode to keep the tigers comfortable. They've added extra beef and pork to the tigers' diets to boost calorie intake and rolled out dried straw bedding in outdoor enclosures. 🥩🌾 "The straw helps insulate them from the cold ground – it's like giving them a heated mattress, tiger-style!" explained keeper Song Haishan.
Sunbathing & Chill
The big cats seem to approve – they've been spotted lounging lazily on their new straw beds, soaking up winter sunlight like living solar panels ☀️. The park's efforts highlight China's commitment to wildlife conservation, ensuring these endangered predators thrive even in freezing conditions.
