Harbin Gears Up for 2025 Asian Winter Games ❄️🏅

Final Countdown Begins for Winter Sports Extravaganza

Harbin, the “Ice City” in Northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province, is polishing its snow boots 🎿 as the 2025 Asian Winter Games kicks off in just one month! With over half of its 14 planned test events completed—including figure skating, ice hockey, and curling—the city is racing to perfect every detail. Cross-country skiing took center stage this week, while speed skating competitions this weekend will see 65+ athletes battle it out across seven disciplines.

Transportation & Travel Upgrades 🚄✈️

Harbin Taiping International Airport is rolling out the red carpet with a 10-day transit visa exemption (up from three days) for travelers from 60 entry ports across 24 provinces. Three new sightseeing trains and expanded railway services aim to whisk visitors seamlessly between venues. A dedicated “Asian Winter Games Channel” at the airport will fast-track participants through arrivals starting January 27.

Media Ready, Set, Go! 🎥

The Games’ Main Media Center is now in trial mode, split into a Main Press Center (with workspaces, interview zones, and a conference hall) and an International Broadcast Center for global coverage. “We’re testing every system to ensure smooth operations for journalists worldwide,” said Lyu Zhuangzhi, Media Operations Director. 🤝

\"Once we establish a collaborative dynamic, we aim to create a seamless operational chain.\" — Lyu Zhuangzhi
