Harbin Gears Up for Spectacular Asian Winter Games Opening Ceremony

❄️ The ninth Asian Winter Games are just around the corner, set to light up Harbin in northeast the Chinese mainland's Heilongjiang Province on February 7! As the chief director of both the opening and closing ceremonies, Sha Xiaolan has promised a breathtaking show that will captivate audiences worldwide.

🎬 \"The overall progress has been very smooth,\" Sha shared with China Media Group (CMG). \"We started rehearsals for individual segments at the main venue in December, and I'm pleased to say that this phase has been successfully completed.\"

✨ Sha and his creative team are no strangers to high-stakes performances, having helmed the ceremonies for the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing in 2022. Now, they're bringing that same magic to the Asian Winter Games, aiming to top their previous achievements.

🔗 \"We are now moving on to the next stage, where we will integrate all the segments together for a cohesive performance,\" Sha explained. \"Our aim is to present a simple, yet spectacular and safe opening ceremony that resonates with the theme of this event: 'Dream of Winter, Love among Asia.'\" The iconic landmarks of Harbin, such as Central Avenue, Ice and Snow World, and Music Square, are inspiring the creative team, ensuring that the enchanting charm of the city shines through in every aspect of the ceremony.

🌏 This year's Games are set to be the largest yet, with 1,275 athletes from 34 countries and regions, including newcomers Cambodia and Saudi Arabia, competing in Harbin 2025. Stay tuned for an unforgettable celebration of winter sports and cultural unity!
