Xi Jinping Calls for Stronger China-Vietnam Ties to Foster Productive Cooperation

Chinese Premier Xi Jinping on Wednesday expressed his vision for a more connected and cooperative future between China and Vietnam. 🤝🌏 During a phone conversation with To Lam, general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee, Xi emphasized the importance of building a frontier platform for new quality productive forces and establishing stable cross-border industrial and supply chains.

Reflecting on To Lam's state visit to China last August, Xi highlighted the fruitful discussions that deepened the relationship between the two parties and countries. \\"The past six months have seen positive progress,\\" Xi noted.

Looking ahead, Xi pointed out that 2025 is a pivotal year as China approaches the end of its 14th Five-Year Plan and prepares for the 14th National Congress of the CPV. This period marks both continuity and a fresh start for both nations.

The Premier stressed the need to rejuvenate and strengthen the bonds between the Communist parties, deepen exchanges of socialist theory and practical experiences, and promote the socialist cause amidst unprecedented global changes. 📈✨

Beyond political and economic ties, Xi called for warm, down-to-earth people-to-people and cultural exchanges. He highlighted the importance of cooperation in media, culture, tourism, and engaging the youth to create projects that resonate with the public.

Moreover, Xi emphasized the significance of international and regional collaboration to uphold fairness and justice, striving together to build a community with a shared future for mankind. 🌍🤝

In his remarks, Xi also extended condolences to China for the recent earthquake in Xizang, expressing confidence in China's resilience and ability to overcome the challenges posed by the disaster.

To Lam responded by lauding China's achievements under the CPC's leadership and expressed optimism about the continuous growth and cooperation between the two nations.
