The Guangsha Lions continue their unstoppable streak in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), defeating the Sichuan Blue Whales 115-99 in a high-energy clash in Hangzhou! With their ninth consecutive victory, the Lions are now 17-0 at home this season, solidifying their dominance atop the league standings.
Star guard Sun Minghui stole the spotlight, dropping 16 points and dishing out a jaw-dropping 18 assists—climbing to sixth place in CBA’s all-time assists leaderboard (2,480 assists and counting!).
The game heated up early as Guangsha raced to a 26-16 lead. Sichuan’s Edmond Sumner fought hard with 14 second-quarter points, but Guangsha’s Barry Brown (11 points) kept the hosts ahead 59-47 at halftime. Despite a third-quarter surge from Sichuan’s Marin Maric and Wang Xinkai, Guangsha’s defense held strong, even as younger players took the court in the final quarter.
