China Businesses Slam U.S. 10% Tariff Hikes 🚫📈

The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) has voiced strong opposition to the United States' unilateral decision to implement an additional 10% tariff on goods imported from the Chinese mainland. Citing violations of World Trade Organization (WTO) rules, the Chinese business community believes these tariffs will disrupt normal economic and trade cooperation between the two nations.

A CCPIT spokesperson highlighted that the increase, justified by concerns over issues like fentanyl, has caused deep regret among Chinese businesses. They firmly oppose the move, arguing that it places unnecessary burdens on American businesses and consumers while destabilizing global supply chains.

\"There is no winner in trade and tariff wars,\" the spokesperson emphasized, adding that the U.S. approach hinders the resolution of its internal issues, strains China-U.S. relations, and does not support global economic development.

The spokesperson urged the United States to rectify its actions, meet China halfway, and enhance cooperation with other countries to foster a stable international environment. They emphasized the need for mutual benefit and win-win outcomes for both nations and the global business community, aiming to inject stability and positive energy into global economic growth. 🌍💬✨
