Meet Liu Shaolin and Liu Shaoang, China's dynamic speed skating duo gearing up for the ninth Asian Winter Games in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province! ❄️⛸️
These talented brothers recently made headlines by helping China clinch the men's 5,000-meter relay gold at the ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Tour in Beijing on December 8, 2024. On the same day, Liu Shaoang teamed up with Fan Kexin, Gong Li, and Sun Long to secure the mixed relay title. 🥇✨
'It was a really good season. It started a little bit rough. It's not how we imagined it's going to be, but the home competition in Beijing was really nice and really successful,' said Liu Shaolin.
'I think the overall performance is pretty good. There's always ups and downs in this sport. So, if you know the sport, it's always difficult to be on the top. So, I think that's a normal thing to have some ups and downs in the season,' added Liu Shaoang.
With the Asian Winter Games on the horizon, the brothers are laser-focused on their goals: standing atop the podium once again. 🏅
'We are in the middle of the season and the next competition is the Asian Games. So, it's going to be a really big competition. And sometimes if we have so many competitions in one season, for example, this season we have the Asian Games, then we have the test event for the upcoming Winter Olympics in Milan. So, it's a really busy season, but we like to be busy. We like to work hard and fight for the gold medals,' Liu Shaolin shared.
Stay tuned as these brothers take on the challenge and represent China with pride! 🌟🇨🇳
